Ilija Đurović was born in Podgorica, on May 9th, 1990. After graduating from musical high school, he enrolled the Belgrade Faculty of Philology, General linguistics department, where he studied for two months. Since 2010, he has been working as a journalist for the Montenegro newspaper „Vijesti“. He has been writing short stories since 2005. Since 2010, his works have been published in different Montenegro and regional literary magazines, printed and online. His stories were published in the following anthologies „Vranac – najbolja kratka priča 2010“ (Podgorica, 2010), „A Sea of Words“ (Barcelona, 2011, 2012) and „Dosta je bilo priče“ (Montenegro, Croatia, 2011). His first collection of short stories „Oni to tako divno rade u velikim ljubavnim romanima“ was published by „Žuta kornjača“ in May 2014. He has been living in Berlin since 2013.
