Tomislav Marković

Tomislav Marković (1976), satirist, poet, journalist and anti-fascists. One of the founders and co-editor of the cultural propaganda sets of Concrete (2006 – 2013). He wrote songs for the play “To Kill Zoran Djindjic” which premiered in October 2012, directed by Zlatko Paković. He collaborated with the Belgrade music group Ah, Achilles who recorded the album “Songs of evil Magician” from his texts. Because of the poem “Serbian spirituality” which ends the book “Time of death and diversion” (VBZ, 2009) he has received dozens of death threats. In March 2014, the book is published in Pristina entitled “Koha e vdekjes dhe e argëtimit”, translated by Fadilj Bajraj in Albanian language, published by Qendra Multimedia. He also published a book of poems, “A man yawns After the War” (2015). A book of selected poems entitled “Unnecessary to be cross out” in Jurij Hudolin translation into Slovenian is to be published soon. His songs and satirical texts were translated in German, Polish, English and Albanian language.
Lives and works in Belgrade as a deputy editor of web portal e-novine.

Mirjana Đurđević

Mirjana Đurđević (Belgrade, 1956) has published sixteen novels, as well as several short stories and essays. Her novel Deda Rankove riblje teorije/Grandpa Ranko’s Fish Theories/ (2004) won award Female pen in 2004. For her novel Kaya, Belgrade and the Good American she received the prestigious Meša Selimović Award for the best book in the region in 2009. Her works have been translated into English and Slovenian.

Born in Belgrade, Yugoslavia, in 1959.
Graduated at the University of Arts in Belgrade – School of Fine Arts (painting department) in 1983. M.A. at the same School in 1985. Special Post-graduate course at the Royal College of Arts in London 1988-89.
Works as a professor on the University of Arts, Belgrade – School of Painting.
Honorary Fellow in writing (participation in International Writing Program) The University of Iowa, Iowa City, United States.
Exhibits since 1980. – exhibitions in various galleries in ex-Yugoslavia and in Europe. Group shows in Italy (Venice Biennial), Germany, Switzerland, Austria etc. Also curated several exhibitions of Yugoslav contemporary art.

Vladimir Bulatović

Vladimir Bulatovic was born in Belgrade in 1979. He published a book of stories “Ghosts of Satire” (Press, 2013). He won the European Short Story Festival in Zagreb award (2014). Auhtor of the book of stories “Elvira was dreaming” (KrR, 2015). He is student of the creative writing course lead by Vladimir Arsenic and Srdjan Srdić.

Stefan Bošković

Stefan Bošković was born on 15 February 1983 in Podgorica. He studied at the Music Academy in Cetinje. He graduated dramaturgy at the Faculty of Drama in Cetinje, in the class of the professor Stevan Koprivica in 2010. He won the second prize at the competition for the best new Montenegrin novel in 2013 for his novel „Šamaranje“/“Slapping”. The second edition of the novel was published by OFK. He published the play „Doba muva”/“The Age of Flies” in art magazine ”Ars” as wel as in the anthology ”New Montenegrin Drama”. He also published short stories: „Na samrti” / ”On the deathbed” (Proletter; Idiot Balkan, 2013), ”My favourite things” (Quest, 2013), „Transparentne životinje” / ”Transparent animals” (ARS), the playwright „U ljubavnom trouglu” / ”In the Love Triangle” which is the part of the drama triptych performed in the factory ”19. decembar” within the National Montenegrin Theatre biennale. He wrote the script for the short film „Umir krvi” / ”The Tranquillity of Blood” directed by Senad Šahmanović. He also wrote the script for the documentary on famous Montenegrin painter, Dado Đurić, directed by Milutin Darić and for the documentary ”Living Eyes” directed by Senad Šahmanović. He is the scriptwriter of the pilot project TV show “Dojč kafe”. He worked as a copywriter in advertising agencies. He is one of the founders of the NGO Alternative Theatre Active Company (ATAK).

Dušan Vejnović

Dušan Vejnović (Sombor, 1981) writes fiction and poetry. He published a collection of short stories Stubbornly Whiteness (2011 Award “Djura Đukanov”), a poetic collection Special Needs (2013) and a novel Strongly and to Nobody (2014). He is a psychologist. He lives in Novi Sad.

Aleksandar Bjelogrlić

Aleksandar Bjelogrlić (Zrenjanin 1967), prose writer, essayist, translator. He has published, among other things, a collection of short stories irritation hypothalamus (IP “Beograd”, Zrenjanin, 1994), Kraken; new love and tajinstva (“Sfairos”, Belgrade, 1996), Anonymous (“National Book”, Belgrade, 2005), Basic option (“National Book”, Belgrade, 2007) and the Citadel (“Agora” from Zrenjanin, 2012) as well as a novel Brazilian watercolor (“Agora” from Zrenjanin, 2010). On the problems of narratology and literary fiction he wrote in an essay collections Invisible archipelago (the “primordial life”, Belgrade, 1994) and three essays; About zduhac of storytelling (GNB “Zarko Zrenjanin”, Zrenjanin, 2000). He has translated prose of Montagjua Rhodes James (book about ghosts, 1998, 2006), Tim Parks (novel Red Heat, 2003), Robert James Wallers (novel Thousands of rural roads, 2004), Doris Lessing (London Sketches, 2009) to Serbian.

Gavra Vlaškalin

Gavra Vlaškalin was born in Zrenjanin in 1958, where he still lives and works.
In the last few years he is devoted to writing poetry and short stories.
The first collection of stories and poems “Tattoo for her” published 2012 by Art Association in Zrenjanin.
Since 2013 he has been a member of Matica Serbian.
In the period 2014/2015 he attended creative writing workshops and short stories readings “Hila”.
The second book of stories “At the last moment” published by Kairos in 2015.

Miloš K. Ilić was born in 1987 in Pancevo, Serbia. He has been writing short stories for publication since he was fifteen. He published short story collection Price o pivu [Beer Stories] (Laguna, 2008.) He writes radio plays.
