Benedek Totth was born in 1977 in Kaposvár, Hungary. Besides being a writer and an editor, he is a noted translator of literature – among others, he has translated novels by Cormac McCarthy, Stephen King, Chuck Palahniuk and Hunter S. Thompson. He wrote two novels, “Dead Heat” (2014) and “The War After the Last War” (2017). “Dead Heat” won the Margó Award for the best first novel in 2015 and was published in French (Actes Sud), English (Biblioasis), Slovakian (Zeleny Kocur) and Romanian (Aramis).
