Luiza Bouharaouawas born in 1985 in Split. She graduated in Croatian and English from the Faculty of Philosophy. She works in Skribonauts. She translates and writes. She translated into Croatian the Rachel Kushner’s novel “Flame Throwers” (Profil, 2017). Her short stories were released in The Split Mind, The Phantom of Liberty and on the pages of Critical Mass and Nema. Her stories were performed in The Third Program of Croatian radio. Her work is included in the regional collection “Out of Corridor – best short story” (VBZ, 2011) and the anthology of Croatian young prose “Without a door, without knocking” (Sandorf, 2012). She is finalist of the European Short Story Festival competition in 2016 and 2017. She is the winner of the short story prize The Ticket and the Prozak Award for Best Authors’ Handwriting for up to 35 years. In 2019, her Prozak awarded first book is to be published.
