Vera Hegedüs was born in 1991, in Kaposvár, Hungary. She obtained an M.A. in American Studies in 2015, and now works as a technical writer. Her debut novel, ostoba, was published in 2021, and, in 2022, won the prize of Budapest’s Writers’ Bookstore, as well as the Péter Horváth Prize for Young Hungarian Writers. Her collection of short stories is bound to be published in the summer of 2023.
